PPBO is working under the Northern Regional Office and looks after the work of the product certification and hallmarking scheme operated by the bureau. Post the reorganisation of BIS Branch Offices, PPBO has jurisdiction over 07 Districts of the State of Haryana, as under:

Fatehabad
Jind
Rohtak
Hisar
Other districts of the State are dealt by Faridabad Branch Office (FRBO) and Haryana Branch Office (HRBO).
As on 31Aug 2021, PPBO has 1006 operative licences covering 726 voluntary and 280 mandatory Indian standards published by various technical departments like Civil Engineering Dept, Food and Agriculture Dept, Mechanical Engineering Dept, etc.Apart from product certification, PPBO has around 908 operative registrations for jewellers under hallmarking scheme.
