Bhopal Branch Office ( BPBO) is working under the Central Regional Office (CRO) of the Bureau and looks after Certification activities (both Product Certification and Hallmarking Scheme) along with Enforcement, Complaint redressal and promotional activities of Indian Standards in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
Bhopal Branch Office (BPBO) had started its functioning in Bhopal in 1978 at GTB Complex, T.T.Nagar, Bhopal, covering the states of Madhya Pradesh. Later it was shifted to Gangotri Complex, T.T. Nagar, Bhopal in 1979.
BPBO has acquired its new premises in October 1998, at E-5 Arera Colony, Bittan Market, Opp. Dushera Maidan, Bhopal and started its functioning from the new premises.
