3. What are the working days/ hours
Training programmes are generally held during Monday to Friday. However, depending upon needs these may be held/continued on Saturdays/Sundays as well. Normal working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

One can apply for the training programme by registering on our Training Portal. (www.manakonline.in)
2. Does NITS accept direct applications from individuals?
Direct applications from individuals are also entertained for most of the ‘On Campus Programmes’. However, for specialized training programmes like Trainings for Technical Committee Members etc. nominations are to be duly routed through Policy Research and Training Deptt. at BIS HQ
3. Can I propose for a training programme for topic of my choice?
Normally training programmes are organised on the subject listed in the training calendar. However, training on topic of your choice can be arranged if it falls in domain of work of BIS. 4. Can I propose for a training programme at location of my choice?
Yes, the custom made training programme can be organised at any location
5. Can any Off-campus training program be organized outside India?
Yes, however for detailed procedure and fee structure etc please mail your query at nits@bis.gov.in
6. I am foreign national. Can I attend any of your programme. If so, what is procedure & formalities to be completed.
Yes, foreign nationals can attend any of the training programmes offered by NITS. However, you are required to provide us the passport details well in advance (approx. 2 months) to seek political clearance from Govt. of India.

NITS conducts Online Training through dedicated CISCO webex software and is fully secured

1. Who is the faculty for training programme?
Highly qualified and experienced faculty is deployed for each of the training programme offered by NITS and each faculty is expert in their relevant field
2. Can I offer my services as faculty
Yes, you may apply as faculty on our training portal and upload your complete biodata comprising of details of educational qualification, total work experience and experience in the relevant field where you intend to join as faculty.
1. What is the fee-structure for participation of different training programmes ?

Payment can be made online using the bank gateway when asked while registering in the training portal www.manakonline.in for acquiring training.

5. How can I check the status of my booking?
Email will be sent to you after the nomination has been confirmed and same can be checked in your registered account.
6. In case, I as nominated participant am unable to attend the training on the stipulated dates, can another colleague/participant from my organization be substituted in my place ?
Yes, in the exceptional case, please send the request at least 24 hours before the start of the course.
7. Can I claim refund if I am unable to attend the training programme
Yes, however for general terms and conditions regarding refund, please refer to the refund policy at https://www.bis.gov.in/index.php/training-2/training-fee/
8. Can I change the date of my course once I have booked it?
Yes, in exceptional circumstances where such request is received at least 3 days in advance. However, same is not guaranteed.

NITS provides residential facilities to participants in its Hostel which has 48 spacious air-conditioned well furnished rooms with television and hot-cold water supply in each room, laundry and dining facilities. Hostel also provides post training hour recreational facilities such as table tennis, badminton, volley ball, carom, chess

Room rent (single occupancy): Rs. 2000/- per day; Twin sharing basis: Rs. 1500/- per head per day; Applicable GST@ 18% on Hostel fee. Charges for Breakfast & Dinner are included in room rent

For trainings being organized at NITS, you can book the hostel room based on availability from our training portal www.manakonline.in .

1. Is there any precourse reading?
No. You will be given all the course materials only when you arrive at the venue.
2. . What course material will be provided?
You will receive a folder containing most of the slides presented during the course. This will include key references for the future.
3. What do we need to bring to the course?
Just bring yourself! You will be provided with a pen/pencil, course manual and paper. If you would like to bring your own notebook, laptop and pen – that’s entirely up to you
4. Are meals provided?
The course will include morning and afternoon tea/coffee and lunch on each day
5. Whether there is crèche facility
No, there is no creche facility at NITS or any other location of training centres.
6. How many people typically attend the course?
The number of people who attend the training varies but most of our courses are restricted to around 20 people f or facilitating better interactions in classes.
7. Is there any dress code?
We suggest formal attire, as permitted in government institutions, according to the weather.
8. Will I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes. all our course attendees will receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ which can be used towards your continuing professional development.
