Who we are

Southern Regional Office Laboratory (SROL) was established in January 1969 and started functioning from Satya Murthy Bhavan, G. P. Road, Chennai and shifted to our own premises in1976.

The building for Southern Regional Office and Laboratory Complex was inaugurated by Shri T. A. Pai, Union Minister of Industry and Civil Supplies, at Madras on 12 July 1976 in the presence of Shri B. S. Krishnamachary, DG, ISI.

In May 1991, the laboratory was shifted from the main building to the present building.

The first Referral assay lab in India was created in SROL.
