Dehradun Branch Office (DHBO) is working under Northern Regional Office (NRO) of the Bureau and caters to the need of industry of Uttarakhand State through operation of Product Certification and Hallmarking Scheme of the Bureau. DHBO came into existence on the 29th Dec 2008 and covers all 13 districts of Uttarakhand State, viz,

The major industrial clusters are located in districts of Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal and U.S Nagar. DHBO is operating around 600 Certification Marks Licences for various products, which may be broadly covered under, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy Engineering and Food & Chemical. The Branch is also operating around 900 jewelers’ registrations for gold and silver artifacts. DHBO is committed to provide all necessary guidance and support to the industry in operating its certification schemes.
