Guwahati Branch Office is currently operating more than 650 BIS licenses covering various products with 82 different Indian Standard Specifications (ISS). This includes Packaged Drinking Water, Cement, Steel, Electric Transformers and various HDPE products to name a few. The Office also has more than 3000 registered jewelers who are selling BIS Hallmarked Gold and Silver Jewellery and artifacts.
Apart from this, we also hold various licensee and non-licensee meets, Consumer Awareness Programmes, and Educational Utilization Programmes at schools and colleges to spread awareness about BIS Standard Marked products and Indian Standards through virtual conferences as well as various functions from time to time.
Standard marked products signify quality, reliability, and assurance of safety to consumers. As such, we urge consumers to seek only ISI marked products (also called standard marked products) whenever and wherever possible.
