Raipur Branch Office (RPBO) is working under the Eastern Regional Office (ERO) of the Bureau and looks after Certification activities (both Product Certification and Hallmarking Scheme) along with Enforcement, Complaint redressal and promotional activities of Indian Standards in the State of Chhattisgarh.
Raipur Branch Office (RPBO) was earlier working as inspecting office at Bhilai under Bhopal Branch Office and in 2014 it was shifted to Raipur at 2th Floor Govind Sarang Complex New Rajendra Nagar Raipur Chhattisgarh.
The major industrial clusters are located in districts of Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Raigarh and Bilaspur. RPBO is operating around 958 Certification Marks Licences for various products, which may be broadly covered Semi-finished Steel Product, Finished Steel Product PVC Products, Electrical Products Food & Chemical. The Branch is also operating around 1500 jewelers’ registrations for gold and silver artifacts.
