Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), is the National Standards Body of India, established under the BIS Act, 2016. It is doing work pertaining to the formulation of Indian Standards for products, processes and services, and monitoring the implementation of the standards through Certification and periodic Factory and Market surveillance to ensure sustained compliance and excellence.
