Who we are

Nagpur Branch Office acronymed as NGBO is one of the Branch offices of Bureau of Indian Standards, the National Standards Body of India. It comes under the jurisdiction of the Western Regional Office of BIS. It looks after certification activities (both product certification and hallmarking scheme) along with Enforcement, Complaint redressal and Standard Promotion Activities (Formation of Standard Clubs at School/Colleges/Institutions/Engg. Colleges, Exposure visit for School/Colleges/Industries, Manak Manthan, BIS Sensitization Programmes and other promotional activities of Indian Standards in the State of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.
