
The Haryana Branch Office (HRBO) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is committed to promoting quality, safety, and standardization across Haryana. Since its inception with 437 product certification licenses, HRBO has grown steadily to oversee 1,758 licenses as of July 24, 2025. HRBO provides essential services in Product Certification, Hallmarking, Standard Promotion, Training, and Enforcement across 12 districts of the state.
As part of the National Standards Body of India, operating under the BIS Act, 2016, HRBO plays a crucial role in formulating Indian Standards and ensuring compliance through robust conformity assessment, factory audits, and market surveillance.
