Major Activities of DLBO-1 include Grant of product certification licenses and monitoring their performance, Grant of Hallmarking registrations and monitoring their performance, Standards promotion and Consumer Awareness & Enforcement Activity in relation to fraudulent use of BIS Logo/implementation of Quality Control Orders. Licenses under the jurisdiction of the branch office belong to Mechanical Engineering Group, Food and agricultural group ,Chemical, Products related to Civil Engineering and some Household Electrical Appliances. Approximately 99% of DLBO-1 licenses are held by MSME Industry and more than 57% of licenses are under the voluntary certification regime.
