Ready Mix Concrete Process Certification as per IS 4926:

  • Concrete has become an indispensable material for most of the constructions and it is being also supplied in the form of ready-mixed concrete (RMC). It is important to ensure that RMC being supplied is of requisite quality to ensure that the same is suitable for the intended purpose and helps in promoting durable construction. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has, therefore, formulated an Indian Standard on RMC, namely IS 4926:2003 ‘Code of Practice for Ready-Mixed Concrete’. This standard covers the requirement for the production and supply of ready-mix concrete.
  • BIS certifies the Ready mixed concrete plants against process requirements of IS 4926:2003 in order to give the consumer a third party certification for Ready-Mixed Concrete. It also provides a means to the RMC plants to develop a robust process for the preparation of RMC in accordance with the Indian Standard.
