बीआईएस भारत का राष्ट्रीय मानक निकाय है जिसकी स्थापना बीआईएस अधिनियम 2016 के तहत माल के मानकीकरण, अंकन और गुणवत्ता प्रमाणन की गतिविधियों के सामंजस्यपूर्ण विकास के लिए और उससे जुड़े या उसके प्रासंगिक मामलों के लिए की गई है। बीआईएस राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था को कई तरीकों से पता लगाने योग्य और मूर्त लाभ प्रदान कर रहा है - सुरक्षित विश्वसनीय गुणवत्ता वाले सामान प्रदान करना; उपभोक्ताओं के लिए स्वास्थ्य संबंधी खतरों को कम करना; निर्यात और आयात विकल्प को बढ़ावा देना; मानकीकरण, प्रमाणन परीक्षण और मानक संवर्धन गतिविधियों के माध्यम से किस्मों आदि के प्रसार पर नियंत्रण।

शिकायत निवारण

बीआईएस एक सुस्थापित शिकायत निवारण प्रक्रिया का अनुसरण करता है। शिकायत प्रबंधन और प्रवर्तन विभाग (सीएमईडी) में केंद्रीय रूप से शिकायतें दर्ज की जाती हैं। ऑफलाइन और ऑनलाइन दोनों माध्यमों से शिकायतें की जा सकती हैं। ऑनलाइन शिकायत मोबाइल ऐप ‘बीआईएस केयर’ के माध्यम से या ‘उपभोक्ता कार्यक्रम पोर्टल’ के माध्यम से की जा सकती है। शिकायत मिलने पर इसकी जांच की जाती है और इसके निवारण के लिए आगे की कार्रवाई की जाती है।ऑनलाइन शिकायत पोर्टल के माध्यम से शिकायत दर्ज करने के लिए क्लिक करें।.
